The project Guardian over Oberwart represents from now on the new website and thus also the history and the region with its different creeds, which have existed in the Austrian province for centuries.
The focus is on the six cemeteries in the 7.000-inhabitant town of Oberwart, which also show that Catholics, Protestants, Reformed and Jews have lived together happily for centuries.
In addition to the cemeteries of the four denominations, there is also the community cemetery, which is also called "poor cemetery", the cemetery of the Soviet army ("Russian cemetery"), as well as three other memorials dedicated to the dead of the world wars, resistance fights and the bomb attack in 1995 are.
