Wool pigs and other purebred pigs are kept in large free-range enclosures on the Kogelberg by the Kogelberger Wollschweine GesBR. Generous enclosures and special feeding of the pigs - without any nutritional additives or growth accelerators - are responsible for the first-class meat quality here.
After a year of fattening, the pigs are slaughtered, which gives the various products a special consistency and marbling and thus a unique taste.
From house salami and various types of bacon to liver pâté or lard, the products offer a real treat for the palate and are particularly juicy and tender.
These are available directly from the online shop, but also from the marketing office, the Grottenhof Nature Park. In addition, numerous wine taverns and wineries purchase the meat products from the Kogelberger Wollschweine GesBR and offer them as delicacies in their businesses.
