As a customer, what do I have to enter in the data protection declaration regarding the Körbler company?

If data is collected on your website via Typo3, WordPress or via our software 1Tool (e.g. via newsletter or contact form), there must be a note in the data protection declaration that Körbler GmbH is a processor and collects and processes data on your behalf and be used.

Since other personal data (e.g. IP addresses of your customers) are also recorded in our data center, your data protection declaration must also be adapted in this regard.

What do you generally have to consider for websites with regard to data protection regulations?

  1. It is recommended to have one on every website or webshop Cookie Notice to place. The declaration of consent to the use of data in the form of cookies must always be given before the data is used (identification, storage, etc.) by opting in; ie the user must take an active action in order to accept the cookies, for example by ticking a checkbox.

  2. As soon as you collect personal data via a newsletter/contact form (e.g. name, address, e-mail) on your website, the visitor must be informed in the data protection declaration how this data is used. Therefore, each form must have a checkbox be equipped, which only allows the input to be sent after activation/approval by the user. One is required for each registration or form consent of the interested party. This means that the purpose of the data processing must already be clear to the respective user when registering.

  3. As soon as data is requested on a website, a SSL Certificate be used. In this way, data can be exchanged in encrypted form without third parties having access to it. SSL certificates are essential for security and regulated by law. We offer various certificates for our hosting customers and are happy to set up SSL for external providers.

  4. In order to further improve data protection, there is also an important and simple step with regard to web analytics that you should take into account. The measure is called "Anonymize IP” – this means that a short code should be added to Google's analytics code in order to anonymize the IP addresses (which are considered personal data). The uniqueness of the IP address is thus changed and individual users are no longer clearly recognizable.
