HOSTING

Is there webmail access?

Yes, we offer our customers in the web hosting area their own webmail access. This allows you to conveniently receive and send your e-mails anywhere in the world.

Are there access statistics?

Yes, all web hosting packages come with access statistics. We use AWStats and Webalizer as standard. Of course, Google Analytics or Piwik can also be integrated.

Is it possible to set up CronJobs on the server?

Yes, setting up CronJobs on the server is possible. Recurring tasks such as backing up databases or archiving log files can be completed as well as running customer-specific scripts and programs.

Can we manage our email addresses ourselves?

Yes. You can create and change e-mail addresses yourself using your own administration interface. You can also set up forwarding and out-of-office assistants.

What availability is offered?

In order to shorten any downtime, important services on websites and applications are monitored as required. Failures can then be forwarded directly to the support team and the on-site technician via SMS.

Through continuous monitoring of the services and automatic SMS notification, we react within a few minutes in the event of a failure. In the case of serious hardware problems that cannot be fixed remotely and require travel to the data center, the maximum time to start troubleshooting is 4 hours. We guarantee 99,9% uptime excluding pre-announced maintenance.

What hosting support is offered?

We distinguish between first, second and third level support. We provide First Level Support by telephone from Monday to Thursday from 08.00:12.00 a.m. to 13.00:17.00 p.m., from 08.00:14.00 p.m. to XNUMX:XNUMX p.m. and on Friday from XNUMX:XNUMX a.m. to XNUMX:XNUMX p.m. This support team then coordinates the second and third level support.

We also offer 2nd and 3rd level 24×7 support. Internally we use 1Tool as our own support tracking system for easy traceability of any problems and customer requirements.

How does the backup work?

All systems are backed up daily by an automated backup system. The backup strategy is currently:

  • Weekly full backup
  • Daily incremental backup
  • Retention time full backup 6 weeks, incremental backup 7 days

The data is backed up via a dedicated LAN segment within the data center at a so-called disk-to-disk level. This method allows for quick recovery of data. The data backup includes the customer's user data as well as system data, configurations and user data from Koerbler locked in. If possible, so-called dumps are made in the database system in order to ensure data integrity.

For security reasons, the backup systems are not accessible to the customer and can only be used by authorized personnel Koerbler to be served. Koerbler secures this access for employees via VPN and SSH. As a rule, any data recovery will be carried out free of charge, even if the customer is at fault (fair use).

What about failover scenarios?

We have a fail-over server with identical equipment and online mirroring of the hard drive.

Is the database also backed up daily?

Yes, we back up all databases for you on a daily basis.

Where is the data center located?

We host ours exclusively in Austrian data centers. Our data centers are made by professionals for professionals and are equipped with the latest technology. The security and the perfect environmental conditions of the company servers or server families have the highest priority there. This ranges from access control to emergency power supply.
