Did you know that bees for a jar of honey (1/2kg) about ３０ minutes fly out and cover a distance of around 120.000 kilometers return? If there are fewer and fewer bees, it is not the environment that suffers but also people. In total, around eighty percent of the crops and wild plants in Germany and Austria depend on honey bees for pollination. This means that the bee also has an economic benefit with its pollination service, which is estimated at over 70 billion US dollars worldwide. This makes the bee the third most important farm animal - just behind the cattle and the pig.
Bees aren't just for that environment extremely important, but also very popular with our employees! For this reason, we have decided to also accommodate three bee colonies at our company location in Wagna.
